Business Activity Query Export Process let you export the BAQ data
in XML or CSV format. You can export the BAQ data manually and you can schedule
it to run automatically (Daily, Weekly, ,Monthly,Once,startup..etc) and you can
configure this in the “system agent maintenance” and I will explain this later
in this article.
You can access Business Activity Query Export Process as below:
System management => Utility => Business Activity Query
Export Process
Query ID: click on the Query ID button to select
the BAQ.
Output Format: Choose the format of the output file XML
or CSV.
Output Filename: Type a name for the file which used to
save the exported data of the query.
The file will be saved in the EpicorData\Reports \<UserName> directory.
<UserName> is the name of the current user logged into the system.
Text Delimiter: Defines how you will separate units in
the exported file. Enter the text delimiter that you want.
Output Labels: check this option if you want to export the report with the labels
of the columns in the BAQ query.
Schedule: From this list, select the schedule
option during which you would like the report to run. Options include Now,
Startup Task Schedule, and any other user-defined schedules created for your
company.
Recurring: Select the Recurring
check box to indicate that the report should be run on a repeating basis. This
check box is available only if a schedule other than Now is selected.
In the below video I will show you how to create a daily schedule using
system agent maintenance and then I will create a BAQ to get the open PO release
report and then I will use Business Activity Query Export Process to
create a task to export the created BAQ and I will use the custom schedule
which I created. So depend on this created schedule the BAQ report will be
exported daily 12:00 AM.
This is a really good tutorial, thanks a lot! Can you advise what would be the best way to go about getting purchase order data back into Epicor for an external system?

Is there a way to use BAQ export process and have the file name to append the current date each time the report is printed .. so it won't write over a report that is already in the location but will produce a new report showing the date it was produced? b.black@sunstarusa.com
