How to use Process Sets Maintenance

The process sets program uses to group a list of task together to be run in a schedule and you can order the task to be run in your order especially if you have a task depend another task.

The task can be reports, processes, BAQ export process and executive queries.

You assign tasks to a process set through other programs. You do this by first defining the task within its program. When you are ready to add this task to a process set, you click the (Save to Process) button. The Save to Process Set window appears; you can then select a process set you defined through this maintenance program. Nearly every report and process has the Save to Process button. If you have the Executive Dashboard, this button is also available through the Executive Query program.

To determine when a process set will be activated, you assign it to a schedule within the Schedule Process Set program. When the system clock advances to this regular schedule, the System Monitor will launch the process set - which will in turn launch and run its tasks.

You can establish the order of processing tasks using Move up and Move Down buttons.
Move Up means to do the task sooner, relative to the others.
Move Down means to do the task later, relative to the others.
Note: The default order is the order in which tasks were assigned to the process set.

In the below video, I will show you how to create the process sets and how to assign a tasks to it and then schedule it to be run in regular schedule.

1- Create Process Set.
2- Create Schedule.
3- Assign tasks to the created process set.
4- Assign the created process sets to the above created schedule.

How to Use the Business Activity Query Export Process

Business Activity Query Export Process let you export the BAQ data in XML or CSV format. You can export the BAQ data manually and you can schedule it to run automatically (Daily, Weekly, ,Monthly,Once,startup..etc) and you can configure this in the “system agent maintenance” and I will explain this later in this article.
